I began looking for this after reading, and enjoying, "Christmas Spirit," the first book in the series. I have to say that the "friends" and much of the family of the main character are annoying in the extreme, particularly the steamroller named Constance, and I am glad that, in this second book, the main character appears to be growing a spine with respect to all of them. That said, though, I like the main character, and her love interest, and I look forward to the next book.Product details

This series is fun to read! Prudence is funny and pretty gutsy! Nice to read about a middle-aged woman instead of the normal 28 to 30 beautiful women you always expect to read about! I will be reading more from Morgana's for sure!
Another excellent book by Morgana Best. If you enjoy reading a cozy witch mystery then I suggest you give her books a try.
Number 2 in the series has Prudence seeking for the body of her "boyfriend", well she hopes he will be. But her friends try to set her up with a real dingbat! All that aside, there is suspence, murder and mayhem as she gets closer to finding Alum. I love the giggles that I read throughout the book, you will too.
Prudence is a clairvoyant medium who speaks to the dead but then found she had a connection to a comatose policeman. Thru that connection she sets out to help him catch the person who tried to kill him. She solves a couple of murders, dodges a couple of unwanted suitors, tolerates 3 rather intrusive friends while drinks lots of coffee. I've enjoyed the first 2 books of this series. Looking forward to book 3.
Morgana and fellow readers, love this series. Started first one, honestly was not quite sure if I'd get"into"it, few pages only and I was hooked. Could not wait to download the second and third books, left me chomping at the bit for continuation. Definitely enjoyable, definitely will become hooked on Morgana's style. Thanks for fun read!!
I think this book is good for all ages, of course, if you are middle-aged yourself you might relate to it more. I like that it's not your typical love story and I sure hope there is another book in this series. I would love to see how the relationship evolves, I would love her friends to stop nagging her to get a man and I would like to see her start working with the police as her new career. Please, let there be another book.
I discovered Morgana Best through a friend that has read all her books. I started with the "Middle age Ghost Whisperer - book 1" and quickly bought up book 2. Now I am anxiously awaiting book 3.
Prudence Wallflower would like to be a bit of a loner if her nosy friends would let her. I love the story development and was cheering through most of the story to the gratifying end. Although I don't think the Prudence's story is finished yet and I don't think her readers want her story to be finished either. I thought the pace of the story was good and the characters developed well for a cozy mystery. I could do without Constance and maybe Prudence and Constance's 'break' will last a very long time. I recommend this book to any of the cozy readers out there that like a quick read that is not filled with obscenities and graphic violence. I do wonder why the cover has a witch on it....there are no witches in either book 1 or book 2. Perhaps Prudence needs to explain the meaning of clairvoyant medium to the graphic cover editor.
